We’ve all seen this before: Web hosting providers with their hyperbolic language and promises:
- Guaranteed 99.9% uptime!
- Fastest page loads around!
- Never worry about data backups again!
That brings us to Hosting24, founded in Lithuania in 2008, and with additional offices in Asia, Africa, and South America. It’s working hard to carve out its own piece of the highly segmented hosting industry.
As of January 2017, it claimed to have 29 million users with 20,000 new user signups and 15,000 new webpages created each day. In addition, 2018 brought a highly touted upgrade with a new site design, updated members area, performance enhancements, and improved customer service.
Hosting24 is part of the Hostinger Group which includes the website building software Zyro, the open-source ecommerce software BoxBilling, and at least two other web hosting providers, 000webhost and VPS.me.</pp>Your money, and data are too important to trust with just anyone. So, how does Hosting24 rate in terms of promises versus delivery? What features might just make it worth your while? Our in-depth review below lays out all the key facts and pertinent information.
How Does Hosting24 Work?
Hosting24 offers a full suite of Linux-based services: shared web hosting, virtual private servers (VPS) hosting, reseller hosting, and domain registration. Hosting24 is an accredited ICANN domain registrar.
There is also WordPress, cPanel, and email hosting. There is an adequate knowledge base broken out into three broad areas: websites, domains, and general topics such as billing, profile management, and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates.
Its homepage describes 24/7 live customer support, but without logging into an account, the only means of contact on the website – other than snail mail addresses to company offices – are two generic forms: one to report abuse and one for general inquiries. There is a link for live chat on the contact page, but it directs you to the general inquiry form.
There are three shared hosting plans: single, premium, and business.
The single website plan supports one website, one email account, and limited amounts of storage and bandwidth.
The premium and business plans come with a free domain and unlimited supported websites, email accounts, storage space, and bandwidth.
Additional features in the business plan include daily backups, “deluxe” live support, and a free SSL certificate.
There are four VPS hosting plans with varying amounts of RAM (1-4 gigs), storage (20-80 gigs), and bandwidth (1000-4000 gigs). CPUs have speeds from 2.4 GHz to 9.6 GHz. All plans come with a dedicated internet protocol (IP) address, full root access, IPv6 support, and solid-state drives (SSDs).
There are two reseller hosting plans: starter and business. Both plans include a free license to use cPanel and WHM, Cloudflare dedicated denial of service (DDOS) protection, and Cloud SMTP delivery along with a free domain name and SSL certificates.
The biggest differences between the two plans are storage limits (50 gigs vs. unlimited), bandwidth limits (500 gigs vs. unlimited), and the number of cPanel accounts (50 vs. 150).
Hosting24’s One-of-a-Kind Features
Hosting24’s most unique is Zyro, parent company Hostinger Group’s proprietary website building software, which is provided for customers to use. There is a wide selection of professional-looking free templates which can also be easily modified by using drag-and-drop tools.
Search engine optimization (SEO) tools are included too. Another useful feature is the ability to produce multilingual websites allowing you to reach a global audience. Want your webpage optimized for tablets and smartphones? Zyro does that automatically. No coding is required to integrate ecommerce shopping carts.
Another Hostinger Group product you might consider due to ease of integration is the open-source BoxBillingce software. The free version supports one staff member, two currencies, three promo codes, and five products.
The paid version – which is only $5 a month – supports unlimited staff members, currencies, promo codes, and products. Plus, it’s compatible with PayPal, AlertPay, and WebMoney along with many other online payment systems.
Finally, if you like what Hosting24 has to offer, you might consider partnering with its affiliate program. It’s free to join, and you’ll earn a 100% commission on each shared hosting sale and 50% for each VPS hosting sale resulting from a referral.
There’s also no limit to the commissions you can make. All you have to do is sign up, share the affiliate link, maybe even add some banners to your own high-traffic website, and wait for the commissions to roll in.

What Do People Think of Hosting24?
As is usually the case when readingreviews, the results tend to be a mixed bag.
For users who’ve had positive experiences with Hosting24, those relate to low prices, relatively fast customer support, and consistent uptime. Support tickets sometimes have slow responses, but most people found the live chat option to be consistently helpful. Plus, the members area is seen as a positive and useful feature.
On the other hand, some customers have had issues with the uptime percentages, lack of adequate problem resolution through customer service, and Hosting24’s response to DDOS attacks. In addition, despite frequent data backup, some customers report older data being deleted after backups which makes it impossible to revert to earlier versions if necessary.
We have to admit: Online reviews can be problematic.
After all, typically you’ll have to either love or hate something to be willing to take the time to write a review. For any product or service, there is a large, silent majority in the middle who are satisfied with what they’re receiving.
The key thing here is to make note of these extreme responses at either end of the rating scale to keep your eyes open for both potentially good or problematic issues which may arise.

What We Think
The results are varied when comparing comparable Hosting24 plans to undisputed web hosting industry leader GoDaddy:
- Shared hosting: Hosting24’s $2.15 to $7.95 vs. GoDaddy’s $2.99 to $19.99.
- VPS hosting: Hosting24’s $8.52 to $34.06 vs. GoDaddy’s $17.99 to $39.99.
- Reseller hosting: Hosting24’s $25.99 to $41.99 vs. GoDaddy’s $8.99 to $14.99.
The evidence is clear: If you’re looking for a good rate on Linux-based VPS hosting, Hosting24 is your best bet.
Then again, while pricing is important, ultimately what you’re paying for is performance, right? And therein lies a bigger issue with Hosting24’s promised vs. actual uptime and page load statistics. Like most web hosting providers, Hosting24 claims 99.9% uptime and “fast” page load speeds. In reality, that’s not quite the case.
Accordingdom, during the twelve months from May 2017 to April 2018, Hosting24’s monthly uptime percentages ranged from 100% down to an unacceptable 95.58%. Page load speeds were also consistently slow – 1,043 to 2,223 milliseconds – during this time frame.
In comparison, in this same year GoDaddy’s uptime percentage only varied from 100% down to 99.91%, and page load speeds were between 363 and 420 milliseconds.
We’re not saying you shouldn’t use Hosting24. In some areas, there are significant savings versus its competitors. And, sure, maybe there’s a tradeoff between lower prices and performance. But if you can live with that for your particular situation, why not? Plus, Hosting24’s related site building and ecommerce software might be just what you’re looking for. Make sure you’re educated, though, on where the deals are (and aren’t) before you commit your time, money, and resources.
